The correct approach depends on the condition of the existing metal, the surrounding structure, and the final goal for the vehicle.
Classic Car Rust Repair
Rust often extends beyond the visible surface. We remove compromised metal, inspect the surrounding structure, and fabricate or fit replacement sections that restore the original contour, seams, support, and attachment points.
Common rust-repair areas include floors, rocker panels, lower quarter panels, wheel openings, trunk floors, body mounts, cowl sections, firewalls, door bottoms, and inner structural metal.
Replacement Panel Fitment
Replacement panels rarely fit correctly without modification. Quarter panels, fenders, door skins, floor pans, trunk sections, and patch panels must be trimmed, aligned, welded, and finished around the surrounding body lines, gaps, trim, glass, and mounting points.
Custom Sheet Metal Fabrication
Custom builds often require components that do not exist as off-the-shelf parts. We fabricate custom floors, transmission tunnels, wheel tubs, firewall sections, brackets, supports, closeout panels, mounting panels, and one-off body modifications around the actual chassis, drivetrain, suspension, and interior.

Damaged Metal Must Be Removed, Not Hidden
Covering corrosion with filler or welding a patch over weakened metal may improve appearance temporarily, but it does not restore the strength or shape of the panel.
Proper rust repair means exposing the full damaged area, cutting back to solid metal, checking adjacent seams and braces, and shaping the replacement piece to match the original contour and surrounding structure.
When corrosion affects connected panels, floors, braces, rockers, body mounts, or inner structures, those areas must be repaired together rather than treating only the outer surface.
Remove the Full Damaged Area
Old filler, overlapping patches, seam sealer, and weakened metal are removed so the actual condition can be evaluated.
Rebuild the Shape and Structure
The replacement section is formed to restore the body line, contour, flange, seam, mounting point, and surrounding support.
Verify Fitment Before Finish Work
Panel alignment, gaps, trim, glass, weather sealing, body clearance, and final assembly are checked before the area is considered complete.
